Since its commencement in 1997 in San Francisco’s Mission district to its current home in Berkeley, California, Wide Hive has remained dedicated to the production of distinctive and transcendent music. Most often in the form of jazz, funk and hip hop, Wide Hive has generated almost Fifty albums with outstanding musical artists such as Roscoe Mitchell, Larry Coryell, Throttle Elevator Music with Kamasi Washington, DJ Zeph, Harvey Mandel, Calvin Keys, and Phil Ranelin. For nearly two decades Wide Hive has become best known for for both fostering great young talent and creating masterpieces with legendary artists.
